ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support key marketing and communications initiatives related to philanthropy and events. This role is instrumental in coordinating and managing marketing deliverables, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing business processes, workflows, and tools that optimize project management and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, this individual will manage project intake, resource allocation, stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, and ensure timely completion of marketing deliverables.

The scope of work includes marketing collateral, digital marketing, social media, event invitations, donor engagement materials, and communications supporting strategic initiatives. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a public land-grant research university located in Columbus, OH. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project and Marketing Coordination (75%)
  • Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and reporting to keep stakeholders informed.

  • Lead project kick-off meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and initiate projects within project management tools.

  • Manage resource allocation and vendor relationships as needed.

  • Oversee stakeholder review and approval processes, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while providing regular status updates to leadership.

  • Support operational improvements through workflow optimization.

Processes and Procedures (20%)
  • Schedule project-related meetings and coordinate logistics.

  • Track and manage projects using Workfront or similar project management tools.

  • Implement and refine systems, processes, and procedures for project execution.

  • Assist in content management and reporting.

Other Duties (5%)
  • Support additional initiatives as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in business, marketing, operations, communications, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and project management tools such as Workfront.

PREFERRED:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong proofreading, editing, and business communication skills.

  • Experience managing content within digital platforms.

  • Background in event production, including photo/video shoots and on-site event support.
