Our client in the educational materials industry is seeking a Science writer to craft meaningful instruction to deepen the understanding of certain concepts. Middle – High School Professional Experience preferred.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Craft engaging and meaningful digital instruction for a variety of text and media types that deepens understanding of concepts and develops literacy skills for diverse learners
-
Write and review phenomenon-driven instruction for a variety of science concepts and grade levels
-
Design scaffolded instruction to develop student conceptual understanding
-
Write assessment items
-
Collaborate with team members, including writers and editors, to produce high-quality, content that complements standards
-
Maintain and meet all intermediate and final schedules
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-
A degree in a science discipline
-
Knowledge of NGSS performance expectations
-
Experience writing standardized test questions
-
Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback
-
Excellent written communication skills, including a thorough command of the English language, spelling, writing, and grammar
-
Experience working with/in educational technology preferred
-
Demonstrate strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
-
Must be available for communication during regular business hours
