As the Creative Director, you will lead with an innate ability to inspire and energize those around you, constantly driving innovation and pushing beyond the obvious. We are looking for someone with experience creating experiential environments for specialty stores and restaurants. A highly creative visionary, while at the same time business-focused, analytical, and decisive. Focused on team leadership and development, designing new ways to engage with consumers to build brand differentiation.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all design aspects, ensuring alignment with brand standards while bringing innovative and engaging concepts to life.
  • Develop experiential environments and connected pieces that captivate and attract customers.
  • Inspire and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration.
  • Share knowledge and uplift young talent within a flat leadership structure.
  • Collaborate closely with the team on project kick-offs and throughout the design process.
  • Ensure all projects meet critical deadlines and expectations.
  • Align projects with client budgets while maintaining the highest creative standards.
  • Integrate sustainable practices, exploring eco-friendly processes and materials.
  • Ensure materials align with and exceed project expectations.
  • Maintain project direction and deliverables within defined financial scope.
  • Champion the client experience, managing expectations and navigating risks and rewards.
  • Articulate ideas clearly and persuasively, driving buy-in and enthusiasm.
  • Play a key role in selling the business and reinforcing its value proposition.
  • Build and sustain a positive and inspirational company culture.
  • Focus on individual team member success, providing mentorship and timely feedback.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in environmental design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio of concept store designs.
  • Ability to overlap skillsets with direct reports and roll up sleeves if needed.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Wacom, and ideally AutoCAD.
  • Excellent public speaking skills for potential business development and client presentations.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business development situations.
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and mentor the team.
  • Creative vision to develop innovative and engaging store designs.
  • Collaborative approach to project kick-offs and throughout the design process.
