(COLUMBUS, OH) – This year Portfolio Creative, the nation’s fastest growing recruiting and staffing firm focused solely on the creative sector, marks 10 years in business. The company plans celebratory activities throughout the year, beginning with a specially designed 10 year anniversary logo. Founded and continuously run in Columbus, Ohio, with an additional office in Pittsburgh, Portfolio Creative has helped hundreds of clients solve creative workforce challenges, guided thousands of local talent to jobs and put millions of dollars of payroll into the region’s economy. Grandview Heights Mayor Ray E. DeGraw issued a Proclamation hailing the anniversary and citing the firm’s efforts as “essential to the Columbus Region’s effort to attract and retain a talented workforce.”
According to the Small Business Association only one-third of small businesses survive for at least ten years. Portfolio Creative has thrived on its way to the noteworthy milestone, being named to the Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest growing companies for the past six years in a row and establishing itself as the city’s premier source for creative talent.
“When we started the business, the only thing we knew for sure was that there had to be a better way to connect clients with creative talent than what currently existed,” said Catherine Lang-Cline, President and co-founder. “No one else was focusing exclusively on that market, so my business partner Kristen Harris and I used a couple of laptops to place some graphic designers that we knew were great. Things just took off from there.”
Portfolio Creative now places talent across all creative fields including marketing, design, retail, advertising and digital roles. The company also provides direct hire and educational resources, adapting its offerings to technological developments and the growth of the city of Columbus.
