Job #8759 | Columbus, OH | W2 Contract / Project-Based | On-Site Production + Remote Editing
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Videographer / Video Producer to lead the planning, filming, and post-production of a series of company and product videos. This is a hands-on project requiring someone who can manage the production process from pre-production through final delivery, including on-site filming, interviews, b-roll capture, editing, audio, color, music selection, and delivery of organized raw footage.
The project will primarily recreate and update the style and structure of two existing company videos featuring employee interviews supported by b-roll, while showcasing the client's renovated office and warehouse, current products and systems, team members, vehicles, and overall brand.
In addition to the two primary videos, the client would like to capture footage for several shorter product-focused videos and build a library of high-quality b-roll that can be repurposed for future website, social media, advertising, and internal content.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is an established organization with an on-site office and warehouse environment in the Columbus, Ohio area. Their video content is used across multiple channels, including their website, employee onboarding, social media, product marketing, and paid digital advertising.
The client has an existing creative direction, interview questions, talking points, and an initial shot list. They are looking for a videographer who can collaborate with their team to refine the production plan, identify anything missing, and independently execute the technical and creative aspects of the project.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complete an on-site walkthrough prior to filming to evaluate the office, warehouse, interview locations, lighting conditions, audio needs, and potential shots
- Recommend the appropriate camera, lighting, audio, stabilization, and production equipment needed for the shoot
- Develop/refine a production plan that efficiently captures interviews, b-roll, product footage, employees, warehouse activity, office spaces, exterior footage, and company vehicles
- Film approximately 2–3 on-site production days in the Columbus area
- Set up and capture professional employee interviews, including lighting and clean audio
- Capture extensive b-roll throughout the client's renovated office and warehouse
- Film products, warehouse systems/processes, employees, trucks/vehicles, exterior areas, and other brand-focused footage
- Capture footage that can be repurposed into future social, website, advertising, and product content
- Determine whether additional production support or crew members are necessary for specific portions of the shoot
- Ingest, organize, review, and manage footage following production
- Edit two primary interview + b-roll company videos
- Edit approximately three short product-focused videos
- Perform color correction/grading, audio cleanup and mixing, and basic titles/graphics
- Source and recommend appropriate background music options and ensure final selections are properly licensed for the client's intended uses
- Incorporate client feedback and revisions into final edits
- Export final videos in appropriate formats for website, social media, YouTube, paid advertising, and/or internal use
- Organize and deliver all raw footage and project assets so the client can repurpose captured content for future projects

PROJECT TIMELINE
The anticipated project will run from late September/early October through the end of Q4, with some flexibility based on videographer availability, weather, and production needs.
- Late September–Early October | Pre-Production: Kickoff, review existing videos and creative direction, complete an on-site walkthrough, refine the shot list, determine equipment/crew needs, and finalize the production schedule.
- October | Primary Production: Begin on-site filming, with approximately 2–3 weekday shoot days anticipated. The preference is to capture exterior footage during October when weather conditions are more favorable.
- October–November | Additional Production, if needed: Shoot days do not necessarily need to be consecutive. Indoor interviews, office/warehouse footage, or remaining production may extend into November based on scheduling and availability.
- Following Final Shoot | Post-Production: Editing will begin as footage is captured and continue after production wraps, including footage organization, primary edits, short-form product edits, color/audio finishing, music, graphics, and client review.
- Approximately 4–6 Weeks After Final Filming | Final Delivery: Target completion of the final edited videos, raw footage, and project assets.
- End of Q4 | Project Completion: All final deliverables should ideally be completed and transferred to the client by the end of December.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES
The anticipated scope includes:
- Two fully edited primary company/brand videos
- Approximately three edited short-form product videos
- Extensive newly captured b-roll
- Employee interview footage

The current working estimate is approximately 96 total project hours, including pre-production, on-site production, and post-production. This is an initial estimate rather than a fixed allocation; the selected videographer will be asked to review the scope and provide input regarding anticipated hours, equipment requirements, additional crew/support needs, and any production considerations that may be missing.
