1) Don’t panic. When you panic, your ability to make good decisions diminish.
2) Don’t willingly participate. Do the opposite of the naysayers and you will achieve different results.
3) Don’t commiserate. Have you ever felt better after having a conversation about the economy? If not, then why continue to do it?
4) Don’t give up. Continue to look for options. Sometimes opportunities are in the least unsuspecting places.
5) Be creative. Find new ways to adapt. Change is not the enemy, it is a part of the process.
6) Be proactive. Surround yourself with people you want to be like and educate yourself. This includes reading self-help books and listening to motivational speakers like Jolley.
7) Be positive. Have a positive outlook, take action, and act on your beliefs.
Lastly, Jolley said “If there’s something in your life that you don’t like, change it. But if you can’t change it, change your attitude.” Attitude is everything.
