Kayel Carroll (they/them)

Kayel worked for many years in retail management before returning to school for Human Resources. It’s been a wild ride ever since. For the past few years, they have primarily been working for local school districts in HR and finance. They feel so fortunate to have landed with the crew at Portfolio Creative. Their favorite nerdy HR thing is to talk to people about their benefits.

When they’re away from HR and operations, they like spending time with their partner, taking their dog on walking adventures, and hanging out with the cats who let them live in their house. Kayel also teaches meditation and volunteers with the Crisis Text Line. When it’s not the cold Ohio winter, they love kayaking with pals. Sometimes you can find them at a climbing gym or at a concert. Fun fact: their favorite music venue in the US is First Ave in Minneapolis.
