When Columbus announced its GreenSpot program, Portfolio joined right away. Why? Because we wanted to find ways we could run our business more environmentally, we have the “every little bit helps” philosophy. Since we signed up we’ve added recycling pick-up, purchase a much higher percentage of recycled office supplies and have made efforts to reduce our overall paper usage. The great thing about environmentally friendly activities is that they are often money saving as well, so there are both direct and indirect benefits to your business. And it’s pretty good company to be in, check out the map to see which companies around town are participating-there are about four times as many participants as when we signed up!
