Today we are launching completely new software for our business. Difficult? Yes. Confusing? Yes. Frustrating? You bet. But once it’s up and running (and we know what we’re doing) the result will be more efficient work, quicker access to information and a better quality of work overall. We know it will be worth all of the time and effort, so we keep working through the questions and unknowns.
Anytime you do something new or different it often is uncomfortable, awkward, inefficient and sometimes downright irritating. Just keep your eye on the end goal and push yourself through. Very few people naturally are comfortable networking, making contacts, going to events, meeting new people, reaching out to someone with a potential job lead. But the payoff usually is completely worth all the effort. (I’ll remind myself of this the next time I’m faced with a big room full of people I don’t know.)
