Hello! My name is Vinny Sanfillipo, and I’m the Campus Director for Tech Elevator’s Columbus campus. I’m a Columbus native, originally from Powell, and I have lived in Grandview for the past 3 years. I graduated from Otterbein University in Westerville in 2012 with a dual degree in Political Science and Philosophy.
Morning:
I actually love mornings. When the weather is nice, I love to walk to one of the several local coffee shops, including the Grandview Grind, Luck Bros, Stauf’s, and Winan’s, grab an iced coffee, put on a great playlist, and walk through Grandview to start my day. If the weather isn’t so nice, I make do with making my own coffee and chasing my cat, Sabrina, around my apartment to a great playlist.
Afternoon:
My afternoons are often spent supporting our students, connecting with business stakeholders about their hiring needs, and continuing to help find new and innovative ways to elevate people, companies, and communities. I love to connect with people, and helping them find ways to grow their business and make a larger impact on Columbus, especially around the tech scene.
Evening:
I love being involved in the community at large, and experiencing all that Columbus has to offer. Whether it’s going on a walking tour, trying the newest restaurant concept, meeting with folks in the startup space to talk about their latest product, or popping into an art gallery, I love to be out and about. If it’s interesting, involves food and laughter, and/or it’s something I’ve never done before, I’m in!
I’m also a co-founder of Zettabytes.Today, a local organization that focuses on building connectivity for the LGBTQ community in the tech and data industry. Even in COVID times, I’ve found enough hobbies and activities to keep me busy.
